Cabanas - Pontedeume Bridge was built between 1380 and 1386 "... was built at the expense of Fernan Perez de Andrade and at the time of its construction has been considered the largest and most famous in Europe in its class." Surely a bridge existed prior to this, wood, or other construction that would cross a river. The bridge that we see today, engineered by Francisco Sejuelo, Adolfo Pequeño and Juan Vildosola was built between the years 1867 to 1870.
